New Vehicle Sales Trainee – Moorooka Motor Group

Moorooka Motor Group is looking for confident, well-presented and people-focused Sales Trainees to join our growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has strong social skills, enjoys working with people and wants to build a long-term career in sales.

You do not need previous automotive sales experience. We are more interested in finding someone with the right attitude, presentation, communication skills and customer focus who is ready to learn.

We are a family-owned, multi-award-winning dealership group with more than 40 years of history, representing multiple new vehicle brands alongside a substantial used vehicle operation. You will join an experienced team and receive hands-on training, support and mentoring as you develop into a professional Sales Consultant.

About the role

As a Sales Trainee, you will learn how to:

- Welcome customers into the dealership and build genuine rapport from the first conversation

- Understand customer needs and recommend suitable vehicles and solutions

- Conduct professional vehicle presentations and test drives

- Follow up customer enquiries by phone, email and online channels

- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships

- Learn multiple vehicle brands, products and technologies

- Assist customers through the sales process from initial enquiry through to vehicle delivery

- Maintain accurate customer and sales information

- Work closely with Sales Managers, Business Managers and the wider dealership team

- Develop the skills required to become a successful automotive sales professional

What we are looking for





We are looking for someone who is naturally confident around people and takes pride in how they present themselves.

You may currently be working in hospitality, retail, customer service, tourism, fitness, real estate, telecommunications, banking or another customer-facing environment and looking for a career where your personality and people skills can genuinely translate into success.

- 18 years of age or older

- Well-presented, professional and confident

- Naturally social and comfortable starting conversations with current people

- Friendly, genuine and able to build rapport quickly

- A strong communicator with good verbal and written skills

- Customer-focused and passionate about providing a great experience

- Motivated by goals and personal development

- Positive, coachable and eager to learn

- Organised, reliable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

- Comfortable using technology, email and customer management systems

Previous customer service experience helpful, but not essential.

For this trainee position, attitude, presentation, social intelligence and customer service ability are more important than your previous job title.
