About the Role

Riverwood Community Centre is seeking an experienced and highly capable Early Childhood & OOSH Manager / Nominated Supervisor to lead and manage our Long Day Care and OOSH services.

This is a senior operational and educational leadership position with responsibility for the effective day-to-day management of both services, including staff leadership and performance, regulatory compliance, educational quality, workforce planning, operational budgets and overall service performance.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated management experience across both Long Day Care and OOSH/OSHC services, together with strong Nominated Supervisor experience and an ACECQA-recognised Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) qualification.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the Long Day Care and OOSH teams and operations.

- Undertake Nominated Supervisor responsibilities and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.

- Provide strong educational leadership and oversight of curriculum, programming and educational practice.

- Manage day-to-day service operations, staffing, rostering and workforce planning.

- Lead and manage staff performance, including supervision, performance reviews, professional development and addressing performance or conduct issues as required.

- Monitor and manage the operational budgets for the Long Day Care and OOSH services, including staffing and operational expenditure, and ensure services operate within approved budgets.

- Monitor enrolments, attendance, occupancy and service utilisation and proactively support the operational and financial sustainability of both services.

- Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standard, Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, and other applicable requirements.

- Ensure child safety and wellbeing remain paramount across both services, including compliance with child protection, mandatory reporting and reportable conduct requirements.





- Ensure serious incidents, complaints, breaches and regulatory matters are appropriately documented, escalated and notified to the relevant authorities and the CEO within required timeframes.

- Lead the Quality Improvement Plan, continuous improvement initiatives and preparation for assessment, regulatory visits and audits.

- Maintain high standards of documentation across operational, compliance, educational and staffing matters.

- Build, support and develop a positive, professional and accountable team culture.

- Identify and proactively manage operational, staffing, financial and compliance risks.

- Provide regular reports and professional advice to the CEO on service performance, compliance, staffing, budgets and operational matters.

- Work collaboratively with the CEO and broader management team to support the Centre’s strategic and operational objectives.

- Proactively identify relevant government grants and funding opportunities and contribute to funding applications that support the development and improvement of the Long Day Care and OOSH services.

Essential Requirements

- ACECQA-recognised Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) qualification.

- Demonstrated experience as a Director and/or Nominated Supervisor in an education and care service.

- Demonstrated management experience across both Long Day Care and OOSH/OSHC services.

- Proven experience leading, managing and developing educators and multidisciplinary teams, including staff supervision and performance management.

- Comprehensive knowledge of the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standard and Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations.

- Strong understanding of child protection, child safety, mandatory reporting and regulatory notification requirements.

- Demonstrated experience in regulatory compliance, staffing, rostering,



workforce planning and day-to-day service operations.

- Experience in budget monitoring, cost management and working within approved operational budgets.

- Strong leadership, organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work autonomously while maintaining clear accountability and reporting to the CEO.

- Current Working with Children Check and all other required regulatory clearances.
