We are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our Medical Clinic. This role requires flexibility with rostering, strong billing accuracy, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.
About the Role
As the first point of contact, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations while delivering exceptional patient experiences. Your responsibilities will include:
- Greeting and acknowledging patients promptly and warmly
- Managing appointment bookings, recalls and waitlists
- Accurate data entry and maintenance of patient records
- Processing Medicare, DVA, WorkCover and private billings
- Explaining fees, rebates and gap payments clearly
- Managing phone and online enquiries professionally
- Scanning, correspondence allocation and general administrative tasks
- Maintaining a clean, organised and professional reception area
About You
Previous medical reception experience (essential)
- Best Practice PMS experience highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with a calm, friendly manner
- Some understanding of Medicare and billing processes
- High attention to detail (low error rate in billing/data entry)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, accountable and flexible with shifts (including evenings/Saturdays)
