About the Role

As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming and professional experience while supporting the smooth running of our practice.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a combination of patient-facing responsibilities and contributing to the development of a growing medical practice.

As Ace Doctors expands,



there will be opportunities to take on additional responsibilities across practice systems, processes and operations.

Your responsibilities will include

- Managing appointments, patient enquiries, registrations and records using Best Practice (BP Premier) and HotDoc (or similar)

- Managing Medicare, Medicare Online, private, mixed billing, HICAPS, DVA, TAC and WorkCover processes

- Supporting doctors and clinical staff with referrals, recalls, correspondence and daily administration

- Assisting with practice operations including policies, procedures, RACGP Accreditation preparation and compliance requirements

- Supporting quality improvement initiatives, administrative systems and workflow improvements

- Assisting with general practice coordination including onboarding, stock management and supplier administration

- Contributing ideas to improve efficiency and enhance the patient experience

What You'll Bring

We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and passionate about providing excellent patient care.

You will ideally have:

- Experience as a Medical Receptionist, within an Australian GP clinic

- Knowledge of Best Practice (BP Premier) and HotDoc (highly regarded)

- Understanding of Medicare billing and claiming

- Experience with private and mixed billing (preferred)

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities

- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow

- Experience with DVA, TAC, WorkCover, Care Plans, Chronic Disease Management or RACGP Accreditation will be highly regarded.
