ATD Civil Group Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Estimator - Civil Construction to join our team on a full-time basis in Wodonga, VIC. This is a strategic role that plays a crucial part in our business operations, responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and tender documentation for civil construction projects. As an Estimator, you will be instrumental in supporting our project teams, ensuring competitive pricing, and contributing to the successful growth of ATD Civil Group Pty Ltd.

What you’ll be doing

- Preparing detailed cost estimates and quotations for civil construction projects of varying complexity and scale
- Analysing project specifications, drawings, and technical documentation to determine material, labour, and plant requirements
- Conducting site inspections and assessments to gather information relevant to estimate preparation
- Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing information and quotations
- Compiling and reviewing tender documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Maintaining and updating estimating databases, cost records, and historical project data
- Collaborating with project managers and senior management to refine estimates and discuss project feasibility
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions for projects
- Preparing tender submissions within agreed timescales and budgets
- Supporting the bidding process and providing post-tender analysis where required

What we’re looking for

- Proven experience working as an Estimator within the civil construction industry, preferably with 3+ years in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, materials, and industry standards
- Proficiency in estimating software (Expert Estimator) and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.)




- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and construction documentation
- Excellent numeracy and attention to detail with strong analytical skills
- Competency in cost analysis and project budgeting
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, particularly when liaising with suppliers and subcontractors
- Capability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively within a team environment
- Professional qualifications in estimating, quantity surveying, or civil engineering (preferred)
- Knowledge of Victorian and Australian construction standards and regulations
