National Role | Travel Required | Join a Leader in Sensitive Freight & Logistics

As our business continues to grow, we're looking for a proactive HSE Officer to join our national team. This is a hands-on operational role supporting our depots, managers and employees to maintain safe workplaces, meet legislative requirements and continue building a positive safety culture.

About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager and Executive Leadership Team, you'll provide day-to-day health, safety and environmental support across our national operations.

This is an operational support position focused on helping managers implement safety systems, maintain compliance and improve workplace safety. The role does not have direct management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Support managers in implementing WHS policies and procedures.

- Conduct workplace inspections and depot safety audits.

- Coordinate incident reporting, investigations and corrective actions.

- Maintain WHS documentation, registers and compliance records.

- Assist with hazard identification, risk assessments and SWMS reviews.

- Coordinate inductions,



toolbox talks and safety training.

- Support environmental compliance initiatives.

- Provide practical WHS advice to operational teams.

- Travel nationally to support depots and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

You'll be a practical safety professional who enjoys working with people and helping managers improve safety outcomes.

You'll bring:

- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (or equivalent)

- Sound knowledge of Australian WHS legislation

- Experience conducting workplace inspections and incident investigations

- Robust administration and organisational skills

- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

- Current driver's licence

- Willingness to travel nationally

Highly regarded:

- Transport or logistics industry experience

- Diploma of Work Health & Safety

- Internal Auditor qualification

- Return to Work Coordinator experience
