Looking for a strategic data governance role where you can influence enterprise-wide data capability, shape governance frameworks, and help organisations unlock greater value from their data assets?

This immediate-start daily rate contract offers the opportunity to join one of Australia's largest and most recognised enterprise organisations during an exciting period of growth within its enterprise data capability. You'll work closely with senior business and technology leaders to establish governance best practice, improve data quality, and help enable future AI and data initiatives. Initially offered as a six-month contract, there is a strong likelihood of extension and the possibility of transitioning into a permanent ongoing position.

About the Role:

Working across both business and technology teams, you'll play a key role in embedding enterprise data governance capabilities while helping establish scalable data products and improving organisational data maturity.

You will:

- Partner with senior stakeholders across business and technology
- Improve data quality, metadata and data lineage capabilities
- Support the rollout and adoption of enterprise data governance frameworks
- Help establish reusable data products across the organisation
- Translate business requirements into practical data management solutions
- Influence governance practices that support future AI initiatives
- Champion best practice data management across multiple business units; and




- Work across complex enterprise programs delivering strategic business outcomes

This is a highly consultative role suited to someone who enjoys influencing senior stakeholders, solving complex business challenges and driving meaningful organisational change through better data.

About You:

You are an experienced Data Governance skilled who combines strong consulting capability with excellent stakeholder engagement skills and a proven ability to deliver outcomes within large, complex organisations.

You'll bring:

- Demonstrated experience leading enterprise Data Governance initiatives
- Strong knowledge of metadata, data quality and data lineage
- Experience establishing or supporting Data Products
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and consulting capability
- Ability to translate strategy into practical business outcomes
- Experience working across both business and technology functions
- Strong understanding of enterprise Data Management best practices
- Exposure to AI governance or modern data capabilities will be highly regarded; and
- Experience working within large, enterprise-scale organisations
