Reporting to the Finance& HRP Lead, the Finance Specialist brings expertise in school finance operations to support the use of a new Microsoft Dynamics 365 solution. This role is ideal for a finance professional interested in business analytics & continuous improvement. This role does not configure the system but ensuresthat the finance setup performed by the configuration team is accurate and meets the school'sneeds; including validating requirements, reviewing outputs, supporting training &guiding; schools through changes.
Your key responsibilities;

- Act as the finance SME, translating school finance requirements into clear configuration outcomes.
- Validate finance requirements & proposed solutions, identifying risks, gaps & improvement opportunities.
- Support classification of requests as standard configuration, roadmap enhancements or school-specific customisations.
- Review finance configurations to ensure accuracy, usability & alignment with requirements.
- Validate migrated financial data & identify discrepancies for resolution.




- Support UAT helping schools prioritise & resolve finance-related issues.
- Assess finance change requests & defects, providing advice on business impact and priority.
- Deliver finance training & resources tailored to school finance teams.
Support schools through go-live & early adoption, building confidence in new processes.
- Serve as a trusted advisor during onboarding & transition from legacy systems.
- Contribute to user guides, process documentation and FAQs.
Build strong relationships with school business managers, bursars & finance staff.
- Contribute finance expertise to governance reviews & project milestones.
- Advise schools on finance-related enhancements, feature requests & emerging needs.

We are seeking a finance skilled with experience in accounting, finance, or school business operations and a strong understanding of general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, and fee management processes. The ideal candidate will have experience working with ERP systems such as Dynamics 365 Business Central, the ability to translate business requirements into clear functional outcomes, and experience supporting UAT, training, and go-live activities.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines are essential. You will be a confident communicator, able to explain system processes in plain language, contribute to governance discussions, and work within established processes while supporting successful school onboarding, adoption, and continuous improvement.Expertise in school finance operations essential.
