About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Laboratory Manager to provide leadership, mentorship and support to our IVF laboratory team and contribute to the continued development of Stellar Fertility’s laboratory services.

Working closely with the Scientific Director, Medical Director and clinical team, the Laboratory Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the laboratory, providing leadership, mentorship and direction to ensure the highest standards of laboratory practice, quality management and patient care.

This is an exciting prospect for an experienced embryologist who combines technical expertise, clinical excellence, leadership,



innovation and service development.

You will play a key role in:

Mentoring and developing the embryology team to deliver exceptional patient care and clinical outcomes.

Creating a positive, collaborative and high-performing workplace culture.

Overseeing daily laboratory operations, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant service delivery

Supporting quality systems, accreditationreadinessand ongoing laboratory governance

Reviewing laboratory performance indicators,outcomesand quality data toidentifyopportunities for improvement

Discussing embryologyprocesses and outcomes with patients

Supporting staff training, competencyassessmentand professional development.

Contributing to the development and implementation of laboratory services, technologies and protocols.

Supporting the ongoing development of donor programs and regional laboratory services.

Maintaining excellence in IVF laboratory practice including gamete handling, ICSI, embryo culture, embryo biopsy, cryopreservation and warming.

Collaborating with clinicians, nurses, administration teams and external partners to ensure an exceptional patient experience.

About You

The successful candidate will be an approachable and proactive leader who values teamwork, open communication,



scientificexcellenceand continuous improvement.

You will have:

Master’s degree or Postgraduate diploma from an accredited institutiondemonstratinga broadly-based scientific experience in reproductive biology, withexpertiseand/orspecializedtraining in the physiology of reproduction, cellbiologyand biochemistry

Extensive experience in IVF laboratory procedures and ART laboratory operations i.e.must have a minimum of two years full-time equivalent of ART clinical laboratory experience in an RTAC-accredited laboratory (or equivalent) following completion of their formal training in the services provided.

Membership or eligibility for membership of SIRT.

Demonstrated experience in leadership, supervision or mentorship within an embryology team.

Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.

A strong understanding of laboratory quality systems, governance and regulatory requirements.

A commitment to professional development, innovation and continuous improvement.

Experience working within an RTAC accredited and NATA accredited laboratory environment, involvement in accreditation processes, PGT services, donor programs and laboratory development projects will be highly regarded.
