Coombes Property Group is a growing private property investment and development group and is seeking to appoint a Facilities Manager to actively manage the maintenance and operation of a number of its Brisbane based properties.

We are looking for an experienced, commercially minded, well‑rounded, and dedicated skilled who is passionate about property. This role will work closely with our experienced property management and maintenance teams to ensure the presentation and operation of our properties is to the highest standard.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- Management, maintenance and operation of building services
- Ensuring that the assets are maintained in good repair, utilized in the most cost effective manner and serviced in accordance with the statutory requirements, whilst maintaining the highest level of safety and customer service. This includes the oversight of local capital works projects, property related contracts and services
- Managing the onsite team, ensuring that they are fully utilized, engaged and trained for the functions they are performing
- Execution of daily, weekly and monthly duties
- Carry out the necessary inspections and reports
- Ensure a high level of maintenance, cleanliness and presentation at all times
- Adhere to all company procedures
- Assist National Operations Manager as required
- Assist in the preparation and control of annual operating expenditure budget
- Assist the Property Manager with preparing tenancies for letting and inspections
- Working with the Property Manager with management team to deliver tenancy of Tenant fit‑outs and common area upgrades.




- Working with the National Operational Manager and Property Manager with management of site team including training and performance appraisals
- Liaising with clients, tenants, consultants and management including the preparation of reporting materials
- Effective Management of contractors including inductions, monitoring of practices and all WHS related procedures and safety gear. Check scope and quality of completed works
- Calls outs - respond to any call outs and action as appropriate

Your Skills, Experience and Qualifications will include:

- Minimum of 10 years’ industry experience in a similar role
- An eye for detail & the ability & willingness to attend to detail
- An understanding of the fundamental systems in a property and willingness to “Take ownership” of problems.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- A willingness to learn, Flexibility in thinking.
- Administrative and Spreadsheet Competency Computer literacy (& BMCS).
- Management of Contractors and contract schedules.
- Awareness of safety, WHS, DDA and other risk management issues.
- Awareness of the Australian Standards and BCA.
- Ability to prioritize and have effective time management skills.
- A team approach and the willingness to be flexible with duties and working hours.
- Experience representing an organisation to project groups relating to corporate refurbs and new build fit‑outs will be advantageous as you will play an integral role in all projects impacting on the facilities.
