Indigeco is recruiting multiple experienced APS6 Policy Analysts on behalf of a Federal Government client to support a high-profile statutory review for an initial 6-month contract with a 3-month extension option, plus the potential for further extensions.
Reporting to the Review Secretariat, you will play a key role in analysing complex information, synthesising evidence from multiple sources, and producing high-quality written products for government audiences.
You will work collaboratively with policy specialists, technical experts and senior stakeholders to develop evidence-based findings, briefing materials and review reports that will help shape future policy and regulatory outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research, policy analysis and evidence synthesis to support statutory review activities.
- Analyse complex information from multiple sources to identify key themes, findings and emerging issues.
- Prepare high-quality reports, briefing papers, discussion papers and other written products for government audiences.
- Translate technical and specialist information into explicit, concise and accessible content.
- Support the development of review findings, recommendations and supporting documentation.
- Undertake desktop research and comparative analysis to inform review outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with subject matter experts and multidisciplinary teams.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders as required to support review activities.
Key Requirements
To be successful, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in policy analysis, research or strategic advisory roles.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to synthesise complex information from multiple sources.
- Exceptional written communication skills, including experience preparing reports, briefing papers, submissions or similar government documentation.
- Experience translating technical or specialist information into clear, evidence-based written products.
- Experience supporting reviews, inquiries, evaluations, investigations or similar projects.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes to tight deadlines.
Candidates with experience in any of the following will be highly regarded:
- Commonwealth Government or regulatory environments.
- Statutory reviews, inquiries or evaluations.
- Legal or regulatory research.
- Business systems analysis.
- Financial or economic analysis.
- Resources, energy or environmental policy.
