Complex community care - Registered Nurse

Job Title: Registered Nurse (Grade 4+) – Complex Spinal Care / High Acuity
Location: Albury Wodonga
Job Type: Permanent Part-Time or Casual (Flexibility available)

About the Role Nurse Next Door Albury Wodonga is seeking a highly experienced Registered Nurse (Grade 4 or higher) to join a specialised care team for a client living with a complex spinal cord injury.

This is not a standard community nursing role. We require a clinician with Emergency Department (ED), ICU, or High Dependency experience who possesses advanced critical thinking skills and the ability to manage acute clinical episodes autonomously.

The Schedule

Requirement: Weekends Day Shift (Sat/Sun) 10-12 Hours each time or more for the right candidate.

Opportunity: Potential for increased hours or casual pick-up for the right candidate.

Clinical Responsibilities Working in the client's home, you will be responsible for high-intensity clinical monitoring and care, including:

Autonomic Dysreflexia (AD) Management: Rapid identification of triggers, BP monitoring, and emergency management of AD episodes.

CPAP Support: Management and monitoring of CPAP overnight.

Complex Bowel & Bladder Care: Management of suprapubic catheter and stoma care.

Medication Management: Administration of PRN medications as required.

Wound Management: Assessment and dressing of pressure injuries or wounds if required.

About You You are a confident,



self-led clinician who understands that "home care" doesn't mean "low care." You thrive on building a rapport with clients while maintaining the highest clinical safety standards.

Current AHPRA Registration (Registered Nurse).

Grade 4 Classification or higher (or equivalent clinical experience).

Critical Care Background: Experience in ED, ICU, or Spinal Units is highly desirable due to the complexity. High familiarity and/or past experience with Autonomic Dysreflexia is essential

Local Resident: Must live in the Albury Wodonga region.

Current Police Check & Working With Children Check (or willing to obtain).

Driver’s License & Reliable Vehicle .
