AO5 Contracts & Vendor Coordinator | 4-month government contract
A large Queensland Government organisation is seeking an AO5 Contracts & Vendor Coordinator to join their team on a 4-month contract. Based in Townsville, this role offers the opportunity to support contract administration, vendor engagement and procurement activities while working within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Your current role
Reporting to the Procurement and Contracts team, you will provide operational support across contract management activities, working closely with vendors, internal stakeholders and service providers to ensure contracts are prepared, executed and maintained efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Liaising with vendors and suppliers to obtain information, documentation and contract requirements.
- Assisting with the preparation, review and finalisation of contracts and contract variations.
- Coordinating contract documentation and ensuring records are accurately maintained.
- Supporting procurement and sourcing activities in line with organisational policies and procedures.
- Monitoring contract milestones, deliverables and key dates.
- Building effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Responding to vendor enquiries and providing contract administration support.
- Assisting with reporting, data management and contract tracking activities.
- Supporting the team with general procurement and contract administration tasks as required.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have experience in contract administration, procurement support or vendor management within a government, corporate or commercial environment.
- Experience preparing, reviewing or coordinating contracts and related documentation.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to liaise confidently with vendors and suppliers.
- Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience maintaining accurate records and contract documentation.
- Ability to interpret information and follow established policies and procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract management systems.
