CBD Connections is a Sydney‑based specialist in designing, manufacturing, and installing custom switchboards. Based in Alexandria, we supply niche clients — and we're growing. We're looking for a hands‑on Switchboard Builder & Installer to join our team full‑time.

About the Role

You'll be working in our Alexandria workshop and on client sites, building and installing custom switchboards to specification. This is a practical, hands‑on role where attention to detail and pride in your work matter most.

Whether you're an experienced switchboard builder or an apprentice looking to specialise — if you're keen to learn and willing to work hard, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

- Building and assembling custom switchboards to engineering drawings and specifications

- Installing switchboards on commercial and industrial sites

- Wiring, terminating, and labelling components to a high standard

- Testing and inspecting completed boards before delivery or installation

- Working safely in workshop and site environments

- Collaborating with the wider team to meet project deadlines

What We're Looking For





- Hands‑on experience in switchboard building, electrical assembly, or a related trade (experienced candidates)

- Apprentices with a genuine interest in specialising in switchboard manufacturing are also encouraged to apply

- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical drawings

- Robust attention to detail and quality workmanship

- Reliable, punctual, and a good team player

- Valid driver's licence (preferred)

Qualifications

No formal electrical qualification is required for this role. What matters is your practical experience, your willingness to learn, and your commitment to doing the job right. All levels of experience considered.
