ChateauElan at the Vintage is the spectacular setting for our established and award winning Golf Course (designed by Greg Norman), Conferencing and Events facilities, Legends Bar & Grill, Spa and Five Star Luxury Accommodation.

The Role

We have a rare opportunity for a qualified Golf Course Gardner to join our Agronomy Team on a full-time basis.

The Agronomy team ensure our 18-hole Greg Norman designed golf course is one of the best courses in Australia, working together to maintain not only the golf course, but the entire Vintage property! Reporting to the Golf Course Superintendent, you will have a rare opportunity to join our enthusiastic team, contributing to the success of the Golf Course and the experience of our dedicated golf Members and Guests.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Watering greens, tees and fairways - working with cool season grass;
- Bunker, rough, fairway and general Golf Course maintenance;
- Assisting with the setup of Golf Course for competition rounds and general play;
- Operating Machinery and ensuring safe and efficient operation of machinery, including mowing equipment;
- Irrigation maintenance;
- Pest identification and control;
- Thoroughly assist in all safety training needs and procedures;
- Help promote player satisfaction through quality maintenance;
- Work with the Superintendent and other team members to constantly improve the golf course, club grounds,



maintenance facility and safety programs; and
- General Green Keeping duties as instructed and perform any other reasonable request within your range of competence as required by your supervisor.

Our Agronomy team work fulltime hours (5:30am to 2:00pm and short day on Wednesday 5:30am - 11.30am) with the requirement to work a rotating weekend roster as required to ensure the Golf Course is maintained 7 days a week.

Skills and Experience

As the successful candidate, you will be eager to dive into a hardworking team and use your experiences to help the team achieve great things! You will also be able to demonstrate:

- Previous experience in Turf Management or a similar role
- AQF - 3 Chemical Accreditation (preferred)
- High level of communication skills; both verbally and written
- The ability to work as a valued team member
- Ability to work pro-actively under pressure
- Valid NSW driver'smanual license, as well as own transport
- The ability to commit to full time hours, as well as some weekend work on a rotating roster as needed.
