Express Employment Professionals is currently working with a trusted provider of industrial fabrication, maintenance, equipment modification, manufacture, and installation services across the transport, construction, manufacturing, and industrial sectors based in Brendale.
Due to high demand and growth in the business, we are currently seeking an experienced Boilermaker / Fabricator to join our growing team. This role offers a mix of workshop fabrication and onsite industrial maintenance work, giving you excellent variety and the opportunity to work on challenging engineering projects.
Hours of work: Mon - Fri 6am - 2pm + potential OT
Pay Rate: $40 - $50/h (based on experience/qualifications)
Key responsibilities include:
- Fabrication and welding of industrial equipment and components
- Maintenance and repair of material handling equipment
- Modification and refurbishment work
- Planned maintenance shutdowns
- Emergency breakdown repairs
- Installation of new equipment
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Working safely both in the workshop and onsite
Skills & Experience Required:
- Trade qualification as a Boilermaker/Fabricator
- Experience in MIG, TIG and Arc welding
- Ability to work from drawings and specifications
- Experience in industrial fabrication and maintenance
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Current driver's licence
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Commitment to workplace safety
Highly regarded:
- Site experience in industrial environments
- Forklift, EWP, Working at Heights, or Confined Space tickets
- Experience with shutdown and breakdown maintenance
