Requisition ID: REQ676217 Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking an experienced Staff Specialist to join our team at Concord Repatriation General Hospital.
We are looking for a Staff Specialist in Cardiology. The primary purpose of the role is to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Cardiology, and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Cardiology Department and Hospital as required.
The Staff Specialist will provide expertise in cardiac imaging, pulmonary hypertension, and the medical and interventional management of adult patients with congenital heart disease.
The Staff Specialist will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic workplace which supports education, research and professional development. Medical practitioner, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Applicants must have Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP)
with recognised qualifications in Cardiology and-or other equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the NSW Staff Specialists (State) Award.
Completion, or working towards, a higher academic degree will be preferred. Position will be available from October 2026. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Staff Specialist (State) Award.
