About the Opportunity

- Join a dynamic Program Management Office within a major Federal Government department to drive strategic labour hire talent acquisition and contract management for a high-profile reform program.

- Play a pivotal role in shaping workforce strategies, managing critical external partnerships, and aligning talent identification with best practice to ensure long-term program success.

What's on Offer

- Contract/Engagement: Initial contract until End of Financial Year (EOFY) June 2027 + extension options.

- Rate/Salary: Competitive Market Rate (Hourly contract).

- Location & Flexibility: Opportunities available across multiple locations including QLD, WA, ACT, VIC, NSW, SA, and TAS, offering up-to-date workspaces and flexible, professional environments. (ACT Location Preferred)

Role & Responsibilities

- Develop, drive, and deliver comprehensive labour hire recruitment and retention strategies for the program while ensuring strict adherence to departmental policies.

- Manage high-level relationships and contract management discussions of both a sensitive and non-sensitive nature with external stakeholders and labour hire providers.

- Partner with internal specialised units-including Cyber Security and Fraud teams-to manage highly sensitive contractual and risk management matters.





- Analyse complex workforce trends to provide strategic advice to program executives regarding the performance, capabilities, and optimal management of contract resources.

- Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives, sharing best practices across business units to build organizational capabilities and processes.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this position, you will ideally bring:

- Technical Toolkit: Strong expertise in Commonwealth Government procurement frameworks, labour hire talent acquisition policies, workforce trend analysis, and program-level contract management.

- Experience: Demonstrated background managing end-to-end recruitment and complex contract lifecycles within a fast-paced Federal Government or large program environment.

- Core Capabilities: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to handle highly sensitive data with discretion, influence senior executives, and deliver quality results under tight deadlines.
