Join a global retail business known for its solid customer focus and commitment to quality, care, and continuous improvement. This role has been created to support a busy finance function through a period of transformation and process improvement, while also strengthening controls, reconciliations and month-end activities across a national store network. This will suit someone with strong accounting fundamentals who enjoys understanding how things work, identifying inefficiencies and improving processes along the way.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare month-end journals, accruals, prepayments and adjustments.
- Perform high-volume bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Investigate and resolve reconciling items and financial variances.
- Support fixed asset accounting, depreciation and related controls.
- Assist with month-end, year-end and audit requirements.
- Maintain integrity of the general ledger and financial reporting.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to improve financial processes and controls.




- Support finance transformation, automation and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You
- Degree qualified in Accounting, Commerce or Finance.
- CA/CPA qualified or working towards completion.
- Minimum 4 years experience in financial accounting and month-end processes with strong reconciliation, controls and balance sheet experience.
- Retail, hospitality, or multi-site experience will be highly regarded - particularly if you've started your career on the retail floor and have a genuine understanding of how frontline teams operate.
- Exposure to fixed assets and depreciation.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets.
- Naturally curious, proactive and solutions-focused.
- Able to work independently while building strong relationships across finance and operations.
