Role Description This part time remote Accountant role at Juris-Lab focuses on providing accurate, timely financial support to the organization. Day-to-day responsibilities include recording and reconciling financial transactions, preparing journal entries, and maintaining the general ledger.

The Accountant will assist with accounts payable and receivable, prepare routine financial statements and reports, and support month-end and year-end close processes. The role also involves monitoring budgets, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal controls, and assisting with tax preparation and audit documentation as needed. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to clarify financial data and improve reporting processes is expected.

Qualifications

- Strong accounting fundamentals, including knowledge of GAAP, general ledger management, and financial statement preparation.
- Proficiency with accounting and financial software (e.g.,



QuickBooks, Xero, or similar), and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Demonstrated ability to perform accurate reconciliations, manage accounts payable/receivable, and support month-end close.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and handle multiple priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience in a professional services, legal-tech, or technology-focused environment is a plus.
