About the Opportunity at Legrand

This vocational placement has been designed for students currently studying Accounting, Finance or a related discipline who are looking to gain practical exposure to a professional finance workplace. Under the guidance of experienced finance professionals, you will have the chance to learn about and develop an understanding of key accounting processes within a global organisation.

Throughout your placement, you will gain exposure to:





- Management accounting processes including journals, accruals
- Commercial insights on Price volume analysis, Gross margin analysis
- Month-end reporting activities and financial reporting principles
- General ledger and account reconciliation processes
- Capex and depreciation practices
- Intercompany accounting activities within a multinational business
- Audit preparation and financial documentation requirements
- Budgeting and financial planning activities
- Finance projects and process improvement initiatives

You will receive ongoing support and guidance from experienced members of our Finance team, providing valuable insights into the accounting profession while helping you build practical skills that complement your studies. This placement provides an opportunity to apply your studies in a real-world environment, build practical accounting knowledge and gain valuable insight into a future career in accounting and finance.

About You

- Currently studying Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
- Interested in developing practical accounting knowledge
- Eager to learn and gain industry exposure
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, Robust Microsoft excel skills
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn

This is an unpaid vocational placement, offering an allowance of $2,000 (net) per month.
