Role Description This full time remote role as an AI Engineer / Generative AI Engineer / Machine Learning Engineer at Legaline Platform focuses on designing, developing, and deploying AI solutions that enhance legal technology products and workflows. Day-to-day responsibilities include building and refining machine learning and generative AI models, integrating these models into production systems, and collaborating with product, engineering, and legal subject matter experts to translate requirements into technical solutions.
The role involves experimenting with new model architectures, optimizing performance, ensuring data privacy and compliance, and implementing robust monitoring and evaluation frameworks. The AI Engineer will also contribute to technical documentation, participate in code reviews, and help shape best practices for AI development within the organization.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in machine learning and deep learning, including experience with model training, evaluation, and optimization.
- Hands-on experience with generative AI (e.g., large language models, transformers, diffusion or generative models) and prompt or retrieval-augmented design.
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in AI (such as Python) and familiarity with ML frameworks and libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn).
- Experience building and deploying AI/ML services in production environments using APIs, cloud platforms, or containerization tools.
- Ability to work with structured and unstructured data, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, and data pipeline design.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate product and business needs into technical designs and experiments.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with comfort collaborating in cross-functional, remote teams.
- Understanding of security, ethics, and compliance considerations related to data and AI in regulated or sensitive domains (legal, financial, healthcare, etc.).
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in legal tech, document intelligence, or natural language processing is a plus.
