About the Role An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Instructional Designer to support the design, development and enhancement of engaging learning and development solutions within a large Queensland Government business area.
Working closely with subject matter experts and key stakeholders, you will create high-quality learning resources across a variety of formats, including instructor-led training, blended learning programs and self-paced eLearning modules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with subject matter experts to design, develop and enhance flexible learning resources across multiple delivery formats.
- Apply instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles to create engaging and effective learning solutions.
- Develop eLearning content, videos, simulations, assessments and other digital learning materials.
- Conduct quality assurance and compliance reviews to ensure learning products align with established standards and design specifications.
- Create accessible and inclusive learning content that supports diverse learning needs and accessibility requirements.
- Provide expert instructional design advice and support to stakeholders across various business areas.
- Facilitate pilot testing activities and gather feedback for continuous improvement of learning products.
- Monitor emerging instructional design trends, technologies and best practices, making recommendations to enhance learning outcomes.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and professional excellence.
About You To be successful in this role, you will bring demonstrated experience in instructional design, learning and development, and the creation of engaging learning solutions for adult learners. You will have strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to work collaboratively with subject matter experts to translate complex information into effective learning outcomes.

Highly Regarded
- Formal qualification in Instructional Design, Learning Design or similar
- Experience applying Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles
- Robust understanding of digital accessibility standards and best practices
- Graphic design capability and experience creating visual learning assets
