About The Role The Product Manager reports to the Director, ICT Projects and provides senior leadership in setting the strategic direction, governance and continuous improvement of the Department’s Education Management System (EMS).

The role holds end-to-end accountability for the product vision, strategy and enterprise roadmap across all EMS applications, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, sustainable and aligned with whole-of-department priorities and long-term reform objectives.

The Product Manager operates as a key strategic partner across corporate functions, schools and preschools, influencing outcomes at an enterprise level. The role leads, mentors and enables application-level Product Owners, driving the successful delivery of high-value, user-centred digital products. These initiatives are critical to modernising departmental operations, improving service delivery and supporting system-wide educational reform.

Special conditions The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.

The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration ASO8 $130,046 - $134,956 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%) and leave loading
