Platinum Pacific Partners has been exclusively engaged by a leading Australian alternative asset manager to lead a confidential search for a newly created Associate Director role within its Product function. Reporting to the Director of Product, this is effectively a second-in-command position within a growing product and structuring function. The successful candidate will be the most senior product professional in the team, other than the Director.

The Product function sits within the firm's broader Distribution & Investor Relations team, with a focus on product design, structuring and delivery.

Your role will focus on end-to-end product lifecycle management across new and existing strategies. There is a strong emphasis on offshore structuring, including SPVs, feeder funds and closed-ended fund vehicles. You will also manage hedging structures and currency overlays, and act as the key project manager across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including legal, operations, treasury and service providers, keeping products moving efficiently through launch and into ongoing management.

The product suite is expanding, and this role offers real scope to shape how new strategies come to market. The pipeline is active and varied, spanning closed-ended funds, feeder fund structures, high-yield real estate and real estate equity products, alongside broader structured credit initiatives.

Key Responsibilities





- Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle across current and existing investment strategies
- Structure offshore investment products, including SPVs, feeder funds and closed-ended fund vehicles
- Oversee hedging structures and currency overlays
- Project manage across internal and external stakeholders, including legal, operations, treasury and service providers
- Coordinate internal teams and third parties through product launches and ongoing management
- Support the development and delivery of new strategies as the product suite continues to grow

Ideal Candidate

- Strong tertiary qualifications in finance, commerce or a related field
- Around 10 years of experience in investment product development or fund structuring
- Demonstrated experience in offshore product expansion, particularly across Asia, will be highly regarded
- Solid understanding of the legal and regulatory environment governing investment management products and vehicles
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, coupled with a strong commercial mindset
- Hands-on experience establishing global product structures, including funds, feeder funds and SPVs, is advantageous
- Comfortable operating as a senior, largely autonomous member of a small, high-performing team
