Permanent AU Dayshift, Remote/WFH Philippines AU Tax & SMF Accountant - with Xero, MYOB, Handiledger & Handitax Company background: AU Accounting 0 tax and smsf

Tasks: tax preparation

Working hours: Between 9am-5:30pm VIC

VA Rate: $9-12 AUD per hour (Negotiable)

Fulltime at 40 hours weekly

Position Summary The Tax Preparation Specialist provides key support to the finance team in maintaining accurate and timely financial records. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a solid understanding of accounting principles. This role will help in design and implementation of tax policies and strategies, and evaluate managerial processes to ensure compliance.

Key Responsibilities ● Assist in the preparation of monthly and yearly management accounts and financial statements ● Process journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy ● Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis (management accounting /

reporting)

● Maintain and update the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules ● Prepare BAS, IAS, PAYG,tax return for individual, company,



trust and payroll tax returns ● Assist with end-of-year financial processes and external audits ● Ensure compliance with ATO and regulatory requirements ● Generate financial reports and analysis for senior management ● Liaise with internal teams, external auditors, and stakeholders ● Contribute to process improvement initiatives and financial system upgrades

Skills And Qualifications ● Degree in Accounting or related field

— Minimum 5 Years Of Accounting Experience ● Strong knowledge of accounting principles and reporting standards ● Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills ● Strong communication and interpersonal skills ● Ability to work both independently and in a team environment ● Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines and compliance ● Experience in Handiledger and Handitax is a MUST ● Experience in Xero and xero tax (must) and MYOB (plus)

Desirable Attributes ● Experience with Australian tax compliance ● Familiarity with financial reporting requirements for various business structures ● Commitment to professional development and accuracy in reporting

Robust interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with clients and stakeholders
