Barista and Front of House All-Rounder – Premium Tea Room and Café The Silva Spoon is one of the Sunshine Coast’s most well-loved tea rooms and cafés, known for exceptional service, beautiful presentation and an extensive selection of curated fine teas, coffee, cakes and light meals. We pride ourselves on creating a calm, elegant and welcoming atmosphere for our guests, and we’re looking for a Barista & Front of House All-Rounder who shares that same commitment to quality.

We're currently looking for someone who can work with us betweent the hours of 7.30am and 4.30pm. We work on fortnighly roster and while the number of hours will vary , we are looking for someone who's happy to work 40 - 50 hours each fortnight.

About the Role

You’ll play a key role in delivering an exceptional café experience, with a strong focus on barista and coffee, tea and other drinks preparation. You’ll be responsible for producing consistently high-quality coffee while also contributing across front and back of house to keep service running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities





- Prepare high-quality coffee consistently, including espresso, milk-based coffees and other café beverages
- Operate and maintain the coffee machine, grinder and barista station to a high standard
- Take pride in coffee quality, presentation and consistency throughout service
- Provide friendly, confident and professional customer service
- Take orders, manage POS transactions and serve food and beverages
- Maintain a clean, organised and well-presented barista and FOH environment
- Assist with food preparation, plating and other BOH duties when required
- Work closely with the team to maintain smooth, efficient service
- Follow food safety, allergen, hygiene and WHS procedures
- Contribute to maintaining the high standards and polished experience The Silva Spoon is known for

- Previous hospitality experience
- Barista skills
- A passion for tea or specialty beverages is a lovely bonus
- A warm, customer-focused approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stay composed and organised during busy periods
- Reliability, punctuality and pride in personal presentation
