About FlexiPL

FlexiPL is Australia’s first instant logistics platform, making it faster and easier for businesses to access flexible warehousing, storage, fulfilment and transport services. We support importers, wholesalers, manufacturers, retailers, ecommerce businesses and growing brands requiring logistics capacity across Australia.

FlexiPL is part of the Get it Fast Group, backed by an Australia-wide warehouse and transport network and more than 20 years of logistics experience. The Group has supported leading Australian retailers, international manufacturers and established businesses across a range of industries.

We are building FlexiPL as a modern, technology-enabled logistics business and are now bringing our sales capability in-house.

About the role

We are looking for a smart, ambitious and commercially driven Business Development Associate to help grow FlexiPL’s SME and mid-market customer base. This is a hands-on outbound sales role for someone who is confident picking up the phone, engaging business decision-makers and creating opportunities from cold prospects.

You will use cold calling, LinkedIn and email to identify customer requirements, qualify opportunities, book meetings and build a strong sales pipeline.

This is not a narrowly defined appointment-setting role. As you develop, you will have the opportunity to conduct initial discovery, manage straightforward opportunities and progress into a broader Business Development Manager or Account Executive position.

You will have access to:

- Quality prospect and account data
- Established email and call scripts
- Recorded sales calls
- Existing campaign assets
- CRM and prospecting tools
- Marketing and data support
- Direct access to senior management

We are not looking for someone who simply follows scripts. The right person will test new ideas, learn from customer conversations, improve the sales approach and take genuine ownership of results.

Key responsibilities

- Conduct outbound calls to prospective FlexiPL customers.
- Engage business owners and decision-makers through LinkedIn and email.
- Research target companies and identify high-potential accounts.

- Understand customer requirements across warehousing, storage, fulfilment and transport.
- Qualify opportunities and book commercially relevant meetings.
- Conduct initial discovery conversations with prospective customers.
- Re-engage existing leads and dormant opportunities.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, notes and next actions.
- Nurture prospects who are not ready to make an immediate decision.
- Support targeted outreach to larger SME and mid-market accounts.
- Test different messages, customer segments and campaign approaches.
- Work with senior management to progress high-potential opportunities.
- Contribute ideas to improve FlexiPL’s sales process and market positioning.

About you

You are confident, resilient and commercially curious. You are comfortable speaking with people you have never met, asking intelligent questions and continuing after hearing “no.”

You take ownership of your work, follow through on commitments and do not require constant supervision to remain productive.

You will ideally have

- Three to four years of experience in outbound sales, business development or a similar role.
- Strong cold-calling and prospecting experience.
- Experience generating your own pipeline.
- Confidence using phone, LinkedIn and email outreach.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good commercial judgement and curiosity.
- Strong organisation and follow-up discipline.
- Experience using CRM and sales prospecting platforms.
- The ability to understand a customer’s business problem rather than simply deliver a script.
- A startup mindset and willingness to work in a fast-moving environment.
- The ambition to develop into a broader business development or account management role.

Experience in logistics, freight, warehousing, supply chain,

ecommerce or B2B services will be highly regarded but is not essential.

What success looks like

Success will be measured by the quality and commercial value of the opportunities you create, not simply the number of calls made. You will be expected to:
- Generate consistent conversations with relevant prospects.
- Book qualified meetings with genuine business potential.
- Build a healthy pipeline of SME and mid-market opportunities.
- Maintain disciplined CRM and follow-up practices.
- Improve conversion through testing and learning.
- Progress from initial outreach into meaningful customer discovery.
- Gradually manage straightforward opportunities independently.

Remuneration

The role will initially be offered on a contract basis and will include:
- A competitive base salary.
- Uncapped performance incentives.
- Incentives linked to qualified opportunities, customers won.
- Additional earning potential for strong commercial performance.
- The opportunity to move into a broader and longer-term role as FlexiPL grows.

The incentive structure will reward meaningful commercial outcomes rather than activity alone.

Why join FlexiPL?

- Join Australia’s first instant logistics platform.
- Help build an internal sales capability from the ground up.
- Work directly with senior management.
- Access quality prospect data and proven sales assets.
- Have the freedom to test and improve the sales approach.
- See a direct connection between your work and company growth.
- Develop towards a Business Development Manager or Account Executive role.
- Be part of a contemporary logistics business backed by an established national group.

How to apply

Please submit your CV with a short note covering:
- Your outbound sales and cold-calling experience.
- The types of customers you have sold to.
- An example of an opportunity you created from a cold prospect.
- Why you enjoy working in a fast-moving, performance-driven environment.
- What motivates you in a sales role.

Applicants with logistics, freight, warehousing or supply-chain experience should highlight this in their application.
