Who are we?**

For 35 years we have delivered Australia’s leading careers and education exhibitions in Sydney and Melbourne, such as the VCE and Careers Expo. Our events have connected over one million students, families, educators and jobseekers with universities, employers, training providers, government organisations and industry bodies.

What is the role?

We are looking for an exceptional Business Development & Marketing Manager to join the core team in our Melbourne office.

This is a permanent three-day-per-week position, designed as a genuine senior part-time role. There is some flexibility around how the three working days are structured, which can be discussed with the successful candidate.

The role has three core areas of focus: business development, audience growth, plus marketing and promotion. This recent position will drive exhibitor growth, build commercial relationships, and boost attendance.

You will have relative autonomy plus play a key part in identifying and evaluating opportunities for new events, products, audiences and markets.

You will report to our Director and Managing Director whilst working alongside our Events Director.

Our small team is positive, ambitious and down-to-earth. Our culture is professional but not corporate. We joke around, yet hold ourselves to high standards.

About you

You should be articulate, capable and a hard-worker. You can confidently build relationships, generate novel ideas and close deals.

You should be equally comfortable shaping strategy and bringing it to life.



You have demonstrated excellence in business development, sales or marketing.

You have up-to-date, practical skills and experience creating marketing campaigns including making and publishing digital content.

Note This role requires two trips to Sydney per year to deliver two of our major events. April to late June is our peak event season, so availability leading up to and during this period are important. Where possible, we encourage longer periods of annual leave to be planned outside these months.
