The Opportunity

As the Communications Specialist, you'll play a key role in shaping and sharing the story of a growing Australian organisation. This is a hands‑on communications role where no two days are the same. Working across both internal and external communications, you'll create high-quality content that informs, engages and builds brand awareness across a range of audiences and channels.

While communications have traditionally focused on government and regulatory stakeholders, the organisation is expanding its reach to better educate the wider community about its work, innovation, sustainability initiatives and positive community impact.

- Use your stakeholder engagement expertise to maximise sponsorships and strategic partnerships, enhancing brand awareness and extending the organisation's reach through high-profile collaborations, including partnerships with organisations such as the NRL and other key stakeholders - Shape the voice of the organisation by telling compelling stories that engage new audiences and create visible, real-world impact through your work The Role - Create, edit, and publish engaging content across social media, website, eDMs, and publications - Writing articles, executive presentations, talking points, and community engagement materials - Developing content that showcases sustainability initiatives, partnerships and community programs - Capturing employee stories and supporting internal communications,



culture and employer branding initiativesWorking with stakeholders across the business to identify opportunities to tell compelling stories - Translating complex technical concepts into explicit, engaging content for non-technical audiences - Supporting communications campaigns and broader marketing initiatives where required The Ideal Person You're an experienced communications professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can confidently manage multiple priorities.
- Exceptional written communication skills and a genuine passion for storytelling - The ability to quickly understand technical or complex subject matter and communicate it in plain English - Experience developing content across a range of communications channels and formats - Confidence working with senior stakeholders and building strong relationships across a business - A proactive, self-driven approach with the ability to identify opportunities and take ownership - Strong organisational skills and the ability to deliver quality work within tight timeframes - Experience using social media platforms and tools such as Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn – Meta Business Suite highly regarded - Experience in MS Office Suite, Canva, and/or other design tools – desirable This role would suit someone operating around an APS6 - EL1-equivalent level, particularly from service delivery or commercially focused environment. To be eligible for this position you must be an Australian Citizen.
