Role Description This part-time Data Analyst (Entry / Junior) role at Region 10 Data Solutions is a hybrid position based in Sydney, NSW, with a mix of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility.

The Data

Analyst will assist in collecting, cleaning, and organizing education-related datasets to support LEA decision-making and reporting. Day-to-day responsibilities include running basic statistical analyses, building reports and dashboards, and supporting data modeling efforts under the guidance of senior team members. The role involves preparing clear, concise summaries of findings, assisting with documentation, and communicating insights to internal stakeholders and external partners.

The Data

Analyst will also contribute to quality assurance checks, help maintain data integrity across systems, and participate in team meetings to refine tools and processes.

Qualifications

- Solid analytical skills with an aptitude for problem-solving and interpreting quantitative information.




- Foundational experience or coursework in data analytics and data modeling to support data-driven projects.
- Basic knowledge of statistics, including descriptive statistics and introductory inferential techniques.
- Effective communication skills for explaining data findings to non-technical stakeholders in a clear, structured manner.
- Familiarity with spreadsheet tools (e.g., Excel or Google Sheets) and interest in learning data visualization or BI tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment, manage time effectively, and follow established data governance practices.
- Relevant academic background or training in data analytics, statistics, mathematics, information systems, or a related field (completed or in progress).
- Interest in education data and supporting student growth; experience in an educational setting or public sector environment is beneficial.
