About the Role The company is seeking a skilled and experienced Electronic Equipment Trades Worker to install, inspect, test, maintain and repair electronic equipment, electrical control systems, cable assemblies and associated electronic components used in its manufacturing operations. This is a hands-on trade role within a precision manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing faults, repairing or replacing defective electronic components and wiring, carrying out rework and adjustments, reassembling equipment and assemblies, and conducting functional testing to confirm that products operate safely and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and customer requirements.

- Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 per annum plus superannuation Key Responsibilities
- Examine, inspect and test electronic equipment, electrical control systems, cable assemblies, wire harnesses, connectors and associated components to identify faults, defects and performance issues.
- Use electronic test instruments, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, continuity testers, insulation testers and other diagnostic equipment, to test,



troubleshoot and verify the operation of electronic equipment and assemblies.
- Diagnose faults in electronic circuits, wiring, connectors, terminations, soldered joints, control panels and cable assemblies by referring to technical drawings, wiring diagrams, work instructions and test procedures.
- Adjust, repair, replace or rework defective electronic components, wiring, connectors, terminals, circuit boards and related parts as required.
- Carry out soldering, desoldering, crimping, cable preparation, connector termination, wiring repairs and other electronic rework in accordance with approved production and quality procedures.
- Disassemble electronic equipment and assemblies where necessary to access defective parts, and reassemble, adjust and test the equipment following repair or rework.
- Conduct functional and final acceptance testing on repaired, adjusted or completed electronic equipment and assemblies to ensure they meet technical specifications and operational requirements.
- Install and connect electronic instruments, electrical control equipment, cable assemblies and associated components into enclosures, panels, test rigs or manufactured products.
- Set up, operate, inspect and maintain test equipment, jigs, fixtures and hand tools used in the testing, repair and assembly of electronic products.
- Identify recurring faults or workmanship issues, record repair and test outcomes, and report defects or non-conformances to the Production Supervisor or relevant personnel.
- Maintain accurate service, repair, testing and rework records in accordance with company quality procedures and customer requirements.




- Follow workplace health and safety procedures, electrical safety requirements, production instructions and the company’s quality management system at all times.

Candidate

Requirements

- Relevant trade qualification in electronics, electrical, communications or a closely related discipline; a Certificate III in Electronics and - - Communications or equivalent trade qualification is highly regarded.
- Minimum 1- 2 years of relevant experience installing, maintaining, testing, fault-finding and repairing electronic equipment, electronic control systems, cable assemblies or related electrical/electronic products.
- Demonstrated practical experience using electronic test and diagnostic equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, continuity testers, insulation testers and related hand tools.
- Proven ability to diagnose faults and carry out hands-on repairs, component replacement, wiring repairs, soldering, connector termination and electronic rework.
- Sound understanding of electronic components, basic circuit principles, electrical wiring practices, cable assemblies, connectors and control systems.
- Ability to read and follow technical drawings, wiring diagrams, assembly instructions, test procedures and product specifications.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate test, repair and maintenance documentation.
- Ability to work effectively within a production environment and collaborate with supervisors, assemblers, engineers and other team members.
