Support Worker | Sydney

Extra Care is a nurse-led NDIS registered provider supporting children, young people, and their families across Sydney. We provide one-to-one, consistent support — and we're looking for experienced support workers who wants to do their best work with kids who need it.

What the role involves

- Weekday support — morning and after-school shifts
- Weekend community support
- School holiday programs

All support is delivered one-to-one, tailored to each child's goals, and coordinated closely with families and allied health teams.

Who we're looking for

We'd love to hear from you if you've got solid experience supporting children or young people with complex needs — behavioural support, high medical needs, autism, sensory processing, or trauma-informed care. You know how to adapt and hold a plan steady even when the day doesn't go to plan.

You'll be a good fit if you're confident working independently,



communicate clearly with families and allied health teams, and bring consistency a child can rely on. We're after a person who understands that this work is about building trust over time.

Where we work

We currently support families across Ryde, Menai, Tempe, Alexandria, Waterloo, Coogee, Kingsgrove, and surrounding suburbs.

Required experience & certifications

- Minimum 12 months' paid experience in disability support, nursing, or allied health with children/young adults
- Working With Children Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- First Aid and CPR

Job Types: Full time, Part-time, Casual Pay: From $42.23 per hour
