Vitium
Cura offers a broad range of services including Supported Independent Living and SDA, rapid hospital-to-home transitions, community nursing and complex care, community participation programs, and specialized residential care for children and young people. Services are delivered face-to-face, via outreach, and remotely across metropolitan, regional, and remote areas of Queensland, New South Wales, and Victoria. The team works closely with participants, families, and communities to provide practical support alongside clinical and community-based care.
Role Description This casual NDIS Disability Support Worker role is based in office in Dundurrabin, NSW 2453.
The Disability Support
Worker will provide person-centered daily living support, including assistance with personal care, household management, skill development, and companionship to promote independence. The role involves supporting participants with social and community engagement,
attending appointments, and implementing individual care and support plans in line with NDIS guidelines. The worker will monitor participant wellbeing, report concerns, maintain accurate progress notes, and contribute to a safe, respectful environment that upholds safeguarding, rights, and choice. Collaboration with families and management is essential to ensure consistent, high-quality care. Qualifications
- Candidates should possess experience as Support Workers or in similar disability, community, or aged care roles.
- Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Skills, including empathy, patience, and a person-centred approach.
- Candidates should possess Safeguarding knowledge, including understanding duty of care, incident reporting, and participant rights under the NDIS.
- Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills, both written and verbal, for documentation and reporting.
- Candidates should possess a valid Driver's Licence, a reliable vehicle, and comprehensive car insurance.
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications, NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working With Children Check (WWCC), and National Police Check are required
