We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Technical Specialist to lead the design, development, and delivery of their next-generation Platform. This is an exciting chance to work with a local council to build secure, scalable, and innovative digital solutions that improve services for our community.

The role will establish the full stack application pattern, including presentation integration, business logic, APIs, DTOs, MVVM-style presentation patterns, service interfaces, repositories and integration with the Azure SQL data platform.

Responsibilities

- Lead the design and development of the Azure-hosted single page application.
- Establish the layered application architecture, including presentation, view model, business logic, service/API and data access layers.
- Design reusable application patterns for DTOs, view models, service interfaces, repositories and API contracts.
- Lead development standards, coding practices, application structure and technical quality.
- Work with the Azure Data Architect / Engineering Lead to ensure the application aligns with the data model.
- Work with the UI/UX Design Lead to translate user experience designs into practical application components.
- Work with the Azure DevOps Integration Lead to support automated build, test and deployment practices.




- Develop application services to support workflows, operational state, business rules, alerts, decision support and evidence capture.
- Ensure the application is secure, supportable, maintainable and scalable.
- Mentor developers and provide technical leadership across the build.

Experience Required

- Strong full stack application development experience in Azure-based environments.
- Experience designing or delivering large single page applications.
- Experience with layered application architecture, including presentation, business logic, service/API and data access layers.
- Experience with APIs, DTOs, view models, repositories, service interfaces and application integration patterns.
- Experience with Angular and/or React JS, supported by modern front-end development practices.
- Experience with Azure application services, Azure SQL, identity, monitoring, deployment and support practices.
- Experience applying secure coding, access control, auditability and maintainability practices.
- Ability to lead technical design discussions and guide other developers.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with operational, technical and business stakeholders.
