Role Description The Guest Relations Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Brisbane, QLD, supporting guests visiting O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat, Villas and Lost World Spa & Conference Centre. This role is responsible for welcoming guests, managing check-ins and check-outs, responding to inquiries, and providing accurate information about accommodation, facilities, dining, and activities.

The Guest Relations

Specialist coordinates special requests, assists with reservations for spa services and events, and helps personalize guest itineraries to enhance overall satisfaction.



Daily tasks include handling phone and email communications, resolving issues in a timely and qualified manner, and liaising with other departments to ensure seamless service. The role also supports basic sales and upselling of accommodation packages, experiences, and events, while maintaining high standards of presentation and compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

- Strong Guest Relations and Customer Service skills, with a focus on creating positive, memorable experiences.
- Excellent Communication and Customer Experience capabilities, including clear verbal and written communication and active listening.
- Foundational Sales skills, with the ability to upsell and promote packages, experiences, and services in a helpful, ethical manner.
- Previous experience in hospitality, hotels, resorts, or tourism environments is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in a remote or regional setting, including flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
- Competence with reservation and property management systems, basic computer skills, and accurate cash or payment handling.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a calm, professional approach to resolving guest issues.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across departments and support a culture of inclusive, respectful service.
