RPC Diesel & Hydraulics is a well-established, family-owned business based in Townsville. We are currently seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Fitter to join our team.
This role offers a great mix of workshop and field service work, ideal for someone who enjoys variety and autonomy in their day.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled servicing, repairs, and component change-outs on heavy vehicles, plant and equipment
- Perform fault finding and diagnostics to identify and resolve issues
- Manage and maintain fleet records and equipment history
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and site requirements
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment
- Attend off-site breakdowns and field service work as required
Skills & Experience
- Trade qualified (Diesel Fitter / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / Engineering Mechanical)
- Proven experience on heavy trucks and/or machinery
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- High attention to detail, quality workmanship and time management
- Strong communication and customer interaction skills
- Basic computer skills (timesheets, job cards, POs)
- Current driver’s licence (MR/HR highly regarded)
- Forklift licence (desirable not essential)
