As a Portfolio Governance Manager, you'll play a critical role in enabling effective investment decision-making by providing governance, commercial insight, portfolio planning support and strategic advisory services across the organisation.

You'll work closely with executives, sponsors and initiative leaders to guide governance outcomes, support prioritisation and planning activities, and strengthen portfolio oversight. You'll also champion continuous improvement across portfolio governance frameworks and practices to help maximise value delivery.

You'll join our Finance & Strategy team within Commercial Performance & Governance, where you'll lead the Portfolio Governance team and build strong relationships across Finance, Risk, Compliance, Transformation and the broader delivery community. You'll have the opportunity to influence enterprise planning, governance and investment decisions while helping shape the future direction of the portfolio governance function.

This role is a permanent opportunity. The preference for this role is to be based in Brisbane; however, we are open to Melbourne and Sydney also.

Responsibilities

Day to day, you'll:

- Lead the Portfolio Governance team and partner with key stakeholders to strengthen governance, planning and portfolio delivery practices.
- Provide governance advice and guidance to support high-quality business cases, funding submissions and executive decision-making.
- Support enterprise portfolio planning through analysis of strategic alignment, prioritisation, value generation and investment trade-offs.




- Analyse portfolio performance information and deliver meaningful insights, recommendations and early warning indicators.
- Act as custodian of portfolio governance policies, frameworks, standards and templates, driving continuous improvement.
- Build trusted relationships with executives and business leaders while providing independent challenge and commercial insight on strategic initiatives and investments.

Qualifications

- You have demonstrated experience working within an Enterprise Portfolio Management Office or a comparable portfolio, program or project governance environment.
- Your knowledge of portfolio, program and project management methodologies, governance frameworks and delivery practices is well developed.
- You'll bring strong commercial acumen and experience supporting investment, funding or strategic decision-making activities.
- You're experienced in analysing portfolio performance data and translating insights into meaningful actions and recommendations.
- You have proven success influencing, negotiating and building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Your written and verbal communication skills enable you to prepare high-quality executive and governance reporting.
- You'll thrive in complex environments, balancing competing priorities while maintaining a strategic focus.
- You're ideally familiar with the superannuation industry, benefits realisation, portfolio value delivery, technology programs or relevant portfolio management certifications.
