ABOUT US
Gotcha4Life Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation that delivers inspirational, evidence-based, preventative mental fitness campaigns, programs, and services. Since 2017, Gotcha4Life has been on a mission to inspire and enable people of all ages to take action to build their mental fitness.
We take a protective-factor-first and strengths-based approach to building mental fitness, focusing on the skills, relationships, and everyday actions that support us to navigate life’s ups and downs. Our work shifts the conversation from “what’s wrong?” to “what makes us strong?”, helping people strengthen their emotional adaptability, social connection, and help-seeking behaviour.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Gotcha4Life Mental Fitness / Wellbeing Educator, you will be responsible for driving the Mentally Fit Schools program implementation, delivery and impact to a cohort of schools in Greater Sydney and beyond. Mentally Fit Schools is Gotcha4Life’s evidence-based, whole-of-school approach to building mental fitness.
You will work collaboratively with schools to build their wellbeing capacity, inspiring and enabling school communities to adopt a proactive approach to building mental fitness. Partnering with and mentoring schools through the Mentally Fit Schools framework, this role is responsible for delivering evidence-based mental fitness training and resources, and actively building connections between our partner schools and Gotcha4Life.
HOW WE WORK The Mental Fitness Educator role is a full-time position (1.0 FTE), based between our Sydney CBD office and your portfolio of schools. The role involves face-to-face and virtual delivery in schools, and reports into the Mentally Fit Schools Lead in NSW.
We have a hybrid approach to work that continues to evolve as we respond to what is best for our team, and the people and communities we serve. Currently, we come together as a team at our Sydney CBD office two days a week to connect and collaborate. On other days, our team works on-site at schools or from their home office.
We are a growing and passionate team, driven by the impact we make in communities. Salary packaging options are also available.

HOW WE SHOW UP
At Gotcha4Life, what we achieve is important, but how we achieve it matters just as much. Our values guide the way we work, lead and collaborate every day:
- We Foster Belonging We create an environment where people feel valued, respected and connected. We listen deeply, include widely, support one another and invest in our own mental fitness so we can show up well for others.
- We Act Bravely We are guided by evidence, driven by impact and willing to have the conversations that matter. We bring courage, care and accountability to our work, always focused on creating meaningful and sustainable change.
- We Lead Authentically We show up as our real selves – honest, human and kind. We take ownership for our behavior, ask for help when we need it, remain open to feedback and continuously adapt so we can achieve more together.
- We Keep It Simple We create clarity over complexity. We communicate in plain, human language, focus on what matters most and look for practical solutions that make it easier for people to take action.
