THE CLIENT
Our client is a well-established and rapidly growing organisation operating across Australia and New Zealand moving through a large and exciting transformation stage. They are seeking an experienced Payment & Reconciliation Specialist to take ownership of a critical finance function. This role offers the opportunity to become the subject matter expert across payment operations, reconciliation and client settlement processes.

THE ROLE
- Reconcile incoming funds and settlements against transaction volumes
- Manage relationships with payment providers
- Investigate and resolve settlement discrepancies, exceptions and variances
- Calculate and process client payouts accurately and on time
- Validate provider fees including processing fees, chargebacks, interchange and FX costs
- Monitor failed payments, duplicate transactions and settlement delays
- Produce reconciliation reports and payment performance analysis
- Maintain robust controls and audit-ready documentation
- Support compliance requirements and operational risk controls
- Work closely with Finance, Client Success and Technology teams
- Identify opportunities to automate and improve reconciliation workflows
- Support the business through its NetSuite go-live and ongoing optimisation
THE PERSON
- Experience in reconciliation, payments operations, treasury or finance role
- Strong understanding of payment processing flows, settlements and funding cycles
- Experience within financial services highly regarded
- Strong Excel skills with confidence handling large transaction volumes
- Proven ability to identify, investigate and resolve complex reconciliation issues
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Exposure to NetSuite, ERP systems or reconciliation tools would be advantageous
- Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, Business or related discipline preferred
