Engage with business users when building systems, communicating clearly and assisting as needed;

Analyze technical specifications and develop software programming solutions for major projects and periodic releases;

Participate in requirements and design meetings and contribute to improved project design, peer reviews and team discussions;

System design and development;

Defect management;

Continuous improvement of development methods, software, tools and processes;

Release and test management processes; and

Understanding of business logic.

Ensure solutions follow technical specifications and requirements and are of sufficient quality;

Follow AEMO policies in the area of security,



enterprise architecture principles and development process standards;

Work with more senior staff in following processes to deliver on time and on budget, including estimation and tracking;

Maintain solid working AEMO business knowledge applicable to application support and development tasks;

Provide relevant updates to assist in reporting and ensuring AEMO leadership is informed and aware of relevant key issues and considerations that affect the service delivery, reputation and performance;

Participate in and contribute to the identification, reporting, assessment and management of risk.
