AVCZ is looking for two Independent Directors

Abalone Victoria (Central Zone) Ltd is seeking expressions of interest for two Independent Director positions on its Board.

These are genuine outsider roles — reserved for people with no quota holding, no diving licence, and no financial or family ties to the industry. We're looking for candidates with solid governance skills, and relevant experience in areas such as science, fisheries, natural resource management, or other fields that would benefit the Board.

About AVCZ

Abalone Victoria (Central Zone) Ltd is a registered company limited by guarantee (not-for-profit). We represent quota holders, commercial divers, and other stakeholders in Victoria's Central Zone abalone fishery, advocating on their behalf on regulatory, market, and resource management matters.

The Board is supported by a CEO, meets online monthly (2 hours), with all Directors attending an annual Quota Forum each April.
