Position of Leadership - House LeaderPOL 3 - 3 year tenure and attached to ongoing teaching position

St Peter's College is a Catholic Co-educational Secondary College in Melbourne's south-east region that has a proud history of fostering the educational and spiritual development of its students. St Peter's College offers a rich and relevant curriculum in a modern learning workplace which provides every student the opportunity to reach their full potential.

For the commencement of the 2027 school year, we are seeking to appoint a House Leader based at the Clyde North Campus.The House Leader is responsible for the wellbeing of students in their House. The House system at St Peter’s is based on a 7-12 vertical model.

Leadership Positions at the College have an initial tenure of 3 years and are attached to permanent teaching position. After a successful mid-term review, a further 3 years will be offered.

We welcome applications from individuals who are passionate about leadership and have the capability to inspire their team with innovative leadership, contemporary teaching and learning.

- Have experience working with Years 7-12 students, and a demonstrated understanding of the social and emotional needs of young people in this cohort of students.
- Demonstrated history of the development of high-quality pastoral care of students, families and staff attached to their House.
- Is able to monitor and respond appropriately to the personal and academic progress of students in their House.
- Develops and maintains effective relationships with families.
- Facilitates the day-to-day student management within the House.




- Works collaboratively with teachers and other school staff to implement positive behaviour interventions and supports.
- An understanding of the Victorian Curriculum and different teaching methodologies.

The successful applicants will have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children and will hold current Victorian Institute of Teaching Registration.

In accordance with the Diocese of Sale Catholic Education Agreement 2022, from 1 July 2025, the salary range for all teaching staff is $79,589 – $118,063.The POL allowance for the House Leaders is $9,629.
