As our Civil Engineer, you’ll play an important role in supporting our people and clients, strengthening our team, contributing to the continued success of MLEI while building your own capability, influence and career.
About the role
This position is responsible for:
- Contribute to the delivery of civil engineering projects, including urban development, infrastructure, stormwater management, buildings and general civil works
- Prepare and review design documentation, drawings, and reports in accordance with Australian standards and local authority requirements
- Undertake civil design and modelling using software such as AutoCAD, DRAINS, MUSIC and 12d
- Liaise with clients, councils, and service authorities to support project outcomes
- Assist senior engineers with project planning, scheduling, and budgeting
- Conduct site inspections and support construction phase services as required
- Participate in quality assurance and safety processes, ensuring compliance with company standards
- Seek opportunities for innovation and improvement in design and project delivery

What you bring
To contribute confidently in this role, you will bring
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- 4+ years’ local civil design experience
- Chartered or RPEQ status (or working towards) desirable
- Professional Engineering registration (or eligibility to achieve this immediately) desirable
- Proven track record in project delivery and client-facing roles
- Proficiency in design and analysis software including 12D design, AutoCAD, DRAINS and MUSIC
- Robust understanding of relevant Australian Standards, NCC and local government requirements
- The ability to manage time, priorities and project deadlines efficiently
- The ability to build effective working relationships across a diverse organisation
- Strong organisational skills and care for attention to detail
- A commitment to quality, professionalism and continuous improvement
