Property and Building Management Assistant
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Property Management & Building Management Assistant to join our boutique real estate team.
You will assist with a boutique residential portfolio while also providing administrative and operational support for the management rights of a residential apartment building.
This casual position offers approximately 12–15 school-friendly hours per week and would suit someone who is organised, proactive and looking for a varied role within a supportive local agency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Property Management
- Assisting with landlord and tenant communication and general portfolio administration
- Processing tenancy applications and preparing tenancy agreements, lease documentation and renewals
- Preparing Form 6 agreements and marketing for new managements
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in REI Cloud
- Coordinating maintenance requests, liaising with relevant parties and following matters through to completion
- Assisting with open homes, routine inspections, entry condition reports and exit inspections as required
- Preparing rental comparison reports and assisting with compliance and general office administration
Building and Management Rights Support
- Conducting routine checks of common-property areas and reporting maintenance, safety, security and by-law matters
- Liaising with residents,
contractors and tradespeople to coordinate access, quotations, maintenance and minor repairs
- Maintaining building and compliance records, including contractor insurance, fire records, access devices, incidents and maintenance matters
- Assisting with contractor invoices, facility bookings, committee reports and compliance scheduling
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A minimum of two to three years' real estate experience, ideally in property management
- Working knowledge of REI Cloud and Realworks would be highly regarded
- Excellent communication, organisation and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
- A proactive, positive and practical approach
- Skilled presentation and strong customer service skills
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice and current Queensland real estate registration or licence
- Current Queensland Driver Licence and a reliable vehicle
