Field Service Technician (Mildura / Riverland)

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Field Service Technician to service customers throughout the Mildura, Riverland and Adelaide regions. This is an exciting opportunity for a trade-qualified technician who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and working directly with customers across the food processing and packaging sectors.

This role is ideal for someone who can combine strong technical capability with excellent customer service — a technician who not only fixes equipment, but also builds confidence, communicates clearly, and represents the business professionally on every site visit.

About the Role

- Installation, servicing and maintenance of industrial equipment
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
- Preventative and breakdown maintenance
- Providing technical support and customer service on-site
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers and site personnel
- Ensuring customers are kept informed of service outcomes, maintenance recommendations and equipment performance
- Completing service reports and maintenance documentation accurately and professionally
- Working independently across multiple customer sites
- Representing the company in a professional and customer-focused manner at all times

Customer Service Focus

- Develop strong working relationships with customers, operators, maintenance teams and production personnel




- Understand customer operational requirements and provide practical, outcome-focused solutions
- Respond professionally and positively to customer enquiries, concerns and service requirements
- Explain technical issues, repairs and recommendations in a clear and customer-friendly way
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime and improve customer outcomes
- Provide timely updates regarding repairs, maintenance activities, parts requirements and recommended next steps

Skills & Experience

- Strong mechanical and/or electrical experience
- Trade qualification (Certificate III) in one of the following:
- Maintenance Fitting
- Mechanical Fitting
- Electrical Trade
- Related industrial trade
- Ability to fault-find and troubleshoot equipment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to explain technical issues and solutions clearly to customers
- A proactive approach to customer support and problem resolution
- Current driver's licence
- Ability to travel within the service region

Highly Regarded Experience

- Previous experience within any of the following industries will be advantageous:
- Fruit packing and processing facilities
- Industrial automation and production equipment
