About the Team The role sits within the Research Systems and Performance unit in the Research Office and supports a range of systems and processes across the research lifecycle.
Job Purpose
This role supports the systems administration for non traditional research output publishing. It contributes to workflow improvement, data quality, visibility of NTROs and the effective operation of repository services.
Role responsibilities
- Act as system administrator for non-traditional research outputs support systems, supporting publishing, management and discoverability of non-traditional research outputs.
- Manage publishing workflows, including quality assurance, metadata validation and DOI minting of non-traditional research outputs.
- Support system configuration, maintenance and enhancements through projects and workflow improvements.
- Provide guidance and resources to support researchers and staff in publishing practices.
- Manage vendor engagement, including issue resolution and platform updates.
- Prepare and share reports on non-traditional research outputs usage, attention and open access performance.
- Support training and capability uplift across the research community.
Skills, Attributes and Knowledge
- Repository management and experience supporting publishing workflows.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and ability to influence outcomes.
- Problem solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work flexibly across projects.
- Strong communication skills, including analysis and report writing.
- Knowledge of publishing principles, including FAIR and CARE principles and open access publishing.
- Understanding of university policies and the higher education research environment.
Experience
- Experience in repository management within the higher education sector.
- Experience working with stakeholders across academic and professional areas.
- Experience contributing to system or process improvements.
- Experience preparing reports and working with data.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate qualification in knowledge management or an equivalent combination of experience and education.

Remuneration
What We Offer
Base Salary Range: $109,014 - $120,596(HEW7) plus 17% superannuation (pension)
The position is full time and will be made on a continuing basis.
