WHAT YOU’LL DO — WORKING 2–3 DAYS PER WEEK ON SITE
- Own and continuously improve the OHS management system — policies, procedures, SWMS and risk registers
- Lead risk assessments, workplace inspections and toolbox talks across all production areas
- Conduct offsite installation inspections to verify safe work practices and site controls
- Manage incident reporting, root-cause investigations and WorkSafe Victoria notifications
- Oversee machine guarding, isolation and lock-out, hazardous chemicals, forklift and traffic safety
- Deliver inductions and training, and maintain compliance registers and the training matrix
- Train and coach management and supervisors in good OHS practices
- Coordinate emergency preparedness, first aid coverage and evacuation drills
- Support WorkCover claims and return-to-work coordination, and report to management on safety performance
ABOUT YOU
- 4+ years’ OHS experience in manufacturing, with a track record of implementing best-practice safety systems
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or equivalent)
minimum; Diploma-level qualification well regarded
- Strong working knowledge of Victorian OHS legislation and compliance codes
- An independent, proactive, hands-on operator who builds a genuine safety culture from the floor up
- Full Australian working rights
