Manning Support Services (MSS) is an award-winning community service organisation that has been operating on the NSW Mid North Coast for more than 40 years. MSS has an opportunity for a skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Clinical and Care Management team at MSS. The position is part-time, and can be flexible to suit you. As an occupational therapist with MSS, you will be operating within the Support at Home funding model to identify home modifications and provide functional assessments, aids and equipment assessments.
You will be working in a fast-paced, values-driven environment, aimed at assisting older people to remain living in their own homes. You will deliver exceptional services, empowering client choice and positively contributing to their health and well-being by encouraging ongoing active participation in the home and community.
Selection Criteria
Essential Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, or an equivalent qualification and current AHPRA registration with 2 years minimum experience
- Current NSW driver's licence
- Use of a reliable vehicle with a current NSW registration and minimum third-party property damage insurance
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- Experience in assisting people to make choices that enable them to reach their full health and well-being potential
- An understanding of the needs of people from a diverse range of backgrounds
- An understanding of safe work practices and proven experience in the use of appropriate manual handling techniques
- Experience in reporting and assessments related to OT services
- Willingness to work across MSS locations – Taree, Port Macquarie and the Great Lakes (fleet vehicle available for use)

- Excellent collaboration skills, to be able to work professionally and maintain positive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
