Formosa Tree Works is a fully insured, owner-operated tree care team based in Highfields, working across Toowoomba and the wider Darling Downs. We handle pruning, full removals and stump grinding, and we take pride in leaving a site cleaner than we found it.
About the role
We're looking for a groundsman to join us on the tools, 3 to 5 days a week, part time - casual. You'll be the backbone of the crew, keeping the site safe and the job moving while the climber works above.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting the climber and keeping the site secure and running smoothly
- Dragging and hauling branches
- Feeding and operating the wood chipper
- Chainsaw work on the ground, cutting down and processing timber
- General site setup and clean up
What we're looking for
- Solid work ethic and someone who turns up on time, every time
- Comfortable with physical outdoor work in all weather
- Good communication, because on the ground you're the climber's eyes and ears
- Safety first mindset, always
- Current driver's licence
- MR License Preferred but not Required
- White Card Required
- Cert II or III in Arboriculture
- MR License Preferred but not Required
- Chainsaw Experience but not Required
What you get
- $35 to $40 per hour depending on experience
